Who is covered by the warranty?

The warranty applies to any driver who:

  • Has permission from the vehicle owner, and

  • Is covered by a valid KW Warranty.

It covers vehicles of the brands Dodge and RAM with a maximum total weight of 4,500 kg.

Company cars are covered only if they are not used for commercial transport, taxi services, or similar business activities.

Where is the warranty valid?

The roadside assistance is valid in:

  • All EU member countries

  • The United Kingdom

  • Norway

  • Switzerland

How do I activate or apply for the warranty?

No separate application is required.
The roadside assistance is automatically included when a valid KW Warranty is in effect and all eligibility requirements are met.

How long is the warranty valid?

The roadside assistance remains valid for the same period as your KW Warranty.

What does the warranty cover?

You can receive assistance for:

  • Mechanical or technical breakdown

  • Accident-related stoppage

  • Fuel shortage

  • On-site roadside assistance

  • Towing to the nearest suitable workshop (if the issue cannot be fixed on site)

Maximum compensation:

  • Up to €1,000 per incident

  • Maximum 2 incidents per 12-month period

Not covered: Damage caused by filling the tank with the wrong fuel.

What happens if my vehicle cannot be repaired quickly?

If the problem cannot be resolved within 4 hours after the vehicle arrives at a workshop, you may be eligible for one of the following (maximum 7 days):

Option A – Hotel stay
Reimbursement for hotel accommodation or a return journey home (train or flight).

Option B – Rental car
A rental vehicle equivalent to your insured vehicle, or a return journey home.

Hotel accommodation and rental car compensation cannot be combined.

Fuel, extras, deductibles, or optional equipment for rental cars are not covered.

Can the warranty cover travel to pick up my repaired vehicle?

Yes. If:

  • The repair takes more than 4 hours, and

  • The vehicle is more than 100 km from your home or destination,

The warranty may cover:

  • Travel for one person to pick up the vehicle (cheapest reasonable transport), or

  • Transport of the vehicle home if that is equal or less in cost.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover:

  • Fuel, parking, tolls, bridge fees, or similar costs

  • Repairs, spare parts, batteries, or tires

  • Vehicles used for racing, off-road competition, or training for such activities

  • Vehicles that are not legally permitted to be driven

  • Vehicles registered for commercial use (taxi, courier, ambulance, military, etc.)

  • Damage caused while committing a criminal offense

  • Breakdowns occurring while the vehicle is on a trailer

  • Services arranged without prior approval from Assistancekåren

Do I need to pay upfront and claim reimbursement?

No. All services (towing, hotel, rental car, etc.) must be approved and arranged by Assistancekåren in advance.
Approved costs are paid directly through the warranty.

If you arrange services yourself without prior approval, compensation may be reduced or denied.
