RAM celebrates the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team’s triumph in MX2 World Championship 2023 alongside Andrea Adamo and introduces the RAM 1500 TRX Lunar Edition to Europe

• The limited edition RAM 1500 TRX Lunar Edition 2023 further expands the lineup, allowing an even higher level of customization and introducing the exclusive Ceramic Gray exterior color.

RAM keeps bringing important news to the European market and, on the occasion of the eighteenth round of the MXGP 2023 Championship, unveiled the new RAM 1500 TRX Lunar Edition. The exclusive model, announced to the U.S. press last May together with the Lunar version of the RAM 1500 TRX Rebel and featuring the introduction of the new Ceramic Grey exterior color, is produced in a limited edition and expands the American brand's light-duty lineup, offering enthusiasts an even higher possibility of car customization.

In the beautiful setting of the Maggiora (NO) circuit, RAM Europe unveiled the product live to the press just as on April to introduce the RAM 1500 TRX Havoc Edition to the European market at the Pietramurata (TN) stage. In Piedmont, the Brand's event allowed those present to enjoy a unique experience focused on the power of the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V-8 engine: first an immersive walkaround of the car, then an exclusive drive experience and a special emotional drive on the race track. In fact, RAM set up a special test drive in the race track beside the official circuit: this experience includes on road laps and even special off road trails, allowing drivers to test all the incredible capability of the vehicle on any sort of ground.

Once again, the event was also attended by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team manager Tony Cairoli, highlighting the importance of the partnership between RAM and the Austrian factory.

 

A presentation coming on a historic day for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, which saw the rider Andrea Adamo take the third position and, thus, clinch the title of Champion in the MXGP 2023 Championship in the MX2 category, when the season is not yet officially over. RAM joins in the celebration of this remarkable victory, which perpetuates the winning tradition of the American Brand alongside the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team. In fact, the first two years of partnership are marked by two MX2 World Championship victories in a row: in 2022 with Tom Vialle, in 2023 with Andrea Adamo.

The next round of the Championship is scheduled for Sunday, September 24th at the Matterley Basin circuit in Great Britain.

 

RAM 1500 TRX Lunar Edition 2023

The new RAM 1500 TRX Lunar Edition represents an exclusive version of the iconic model: in fact, the segment's benchmark for power and performance is enriched, offering greater customization possibilities and incorporating new trim options. The vehicle thus features a unique combination of technology, graphics, performance and exterior appearance straight from the factory.

As for the exterior, the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group is expanded with the introduction of the exclusive Ceramic Gray color. The special edition also boasts a deployable bed step, four adjustable cargo tie-down hooks, and a spray-in bedliner. The model is also characterized by dedicated content such as TRX Edition graphics on the hood and bed, 18-inch black bead-lock capable wheels, dual pane panoramic sunroof, and LED cab-mounted brake light.

The exclusive details are also recalled inside the cabin, from the Surf Blue accent stitching on the doors, dash and bolstered seats and the embroidered “TRX” seat back logo, as well as carbon fiber touches throughout for a dark and menacing look. The flat-bottom steering wheel features leather trim, carbon fiber accents and integrated aluminum paddle shifters and is complemented by the exclusive and eye-catching gray TRX Lunar Edition badge on the Alcantara® suede center console and head-up display. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist and pedestrian emergency braking.

The RAM 1500 TRX Lunar Edition 2023, produced and marketed in a limited edition through the AEC & KWA International Partners network, is perfect for both off-road challenges and everyday adventures, standing out as the segment leader in performance. In fact, the model maintains the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V-8 engine with 702 hp that featured in the RAM 1500 TRX Havoc Edition 2023, which is the most powerful engine ever used in a pickup truck. The RAM 1500 TRX Lunar Edition 2023 will be available by this spring.

 

With a high-capacity eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, the fast and powerful pick-up offers uncompromising performance and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. Featuring segment-leading refinement and sophistication – with luxurious interiors and their premium materials, incredible attention to detail, quality and ride comfort – the RAM 1500 TRX has features never before offered in a pickup.

Able to wade through water up to 80 cm deep, tow up to 3,500 kg and with a maximum payload capacity of 594 kg, to face the toughest conditions with extreme capacity, the model stands out for its class-leading drive and handling, and for tuning aimed at offering maximum robustness and control for such a powerful vehicle. To guarantee maximum off-road performance, the RAM TRX is equipped with mechanical suspension, which can be adjusted in the onboard system to six different modes (Sport, Snow, Baja, Rock, Mud/Sand and Custom).

The latest J.D. Power APEAL study, which rates the emotional bond between customers and their vehicles, named the 2023 Ram 1500 as the best full-size light-duty pickup.

 

RAM’s dual sponsor role during the MXGP 2023 Championship

Designed and tested to face the toughest conditions with extreme capacity and durability, the RAM 1500 TRX is the U.S. brand’s flagship model. Unsurprisingly, it will be the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teams’ main vehicle again this season: in fact, the American Brand is again a partner of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team during the 2023 season.

At the same time, RAM is an official partner of the MXGP Championship for this 2023: the American Brand will therefore present on the racing circuits in all the championship’s stages with RAM vehicles strategically located on-site at the events, along the track and around the paddock; the Brand will also be there at all the structural and media elements relating to the organization of each event. A special factor in terms of visibility was the restored MXGP and MX2 qualifiers on Saturday: the U.S. Brand is their main sponsor, so much so they are known as the RAM Qualifying Races.

Also present in Maggiora representing the RAM Brand were Domenico Gostoli, Head of RAM & Dodge Brands Enlarged Europe, and Robert Graczyk, Head of RAM International, who presented the RAM award to the qualifying winners.
